A rigorous progression from foundations to specialisation

Foundation programme: learning to reason

Biology, chemistry, physics and mathematical tools build a shared scientific foundation. Languages, communication and computing complement this preparation: understanding a problem, organising an approach and presenting results clearly.

Second cycle: deepen and apply

Molecular biology, enzyme engineering, immunotechnology and forensic biology apply life sciences in specialist settings. Programmes combine disciplinary knowledge, data analysis, workshops and projects to develop expertise progressively.

Learning through practice

Practicals and workshops place observation, supervised laboratory work and interpretation at the centre of learning. Students connect scientific questions to methods, examine results and discuss their limitations.

Reports, presentations, projects and placements also develop independence, teamwork and scientific communication. Academic rigour is expressed through sound reasoning as well as technical competence.

A place to study, exchange ideas and create

Laboratories, the library, campus spaces and the conference hall provide complementary places to learn and share. Scientific and student activities extend classroom learning through meetings, presentations and exchanges across cohorts.

The genomics platform, Incubator, Entrepreneurship Development Centre and Technology and Innovation Support Centre connect scientific skills with research, intellectual property and entrepreneurial projects.

Education in practice

Scientific understanding, developed through practice and exchange.

Academic excellence grows through everyday work: asking precise questions, choosing appropriate approaches, analysing systematically and communicating clearly. Preparatory and specialist courses give this progression tangible content.

01

Build foundations

Connect biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, alongside communication and computing.

02

Test understanding

Observe and work in supervised workshops, attending to measurement quality and traceability.

03

Interpret results

Use statistics and digital tools, distinguish observations from conclusions and discuss limitations.

04

Present and collaborate

Write reports, substantiate an analysis and contribute to a shared project.

Four complementary perspectives on life sciences

A campus for learning and university life

The library supports documentary research beyond the classroom. Laboratories and workspaces support practice and scientific exchange. Green spaces provide a pleasant setting between classes, while the Boucif Zoulikha conference hall and student activities create opportunities to meet and present projects.
