Congratulations and recognition of scientific achievement

The community of the Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran, led by its Director, Prof. Djamal Saidi, extends its warmest congratulations and expresses its pride in doctoral researcher Marwa Aireche on her success in the second edition of the President of the Republic’s Award for the Innovative Researcher. She won first place for her research project in biotechnology and genetic engineering, which brings together scientific innovation and an entrepreneurial vision.

This national distinction recognises Marwa Aireche’s promising scientific career. It also strengthens ESSBO’s standing as a centre of excellence in academic education and microbiology research. It reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation in response to society’s needs, and to contributing to economic growth and the knowledge economy in support of national sovereignty.

The school particularly commends the sustained efforts of the team at the genomics technology platform, whose contribution played an important part in this scientific achievement.

We also express our gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for this initiative, which reflects his continued support for innovative researchers and students and encourages scientific excellence. Beyond its honorary significance, the award is a mark of confidence and a source of national pride. It encourages Algerian talent to contribute to the country’s development and strengthen Algeria’s international scientific presence.

Our thanks also go to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by Minister Prof. Kamel Baddari, the Directorate General for Scientific Research and Technological Development, and all those working to make Algerian universities a driving force for economic development and the practical realisation of innovative ideas.
