Programme objectives

Train engineers to analyse environmental systems and design biological and technological solutions for prevention, treatment and valorisation.

Subjects and teaching

Ecology and ecosystem functioning, environmental biotechnology, environmental microbiology and chemistry, biological treatment, soil and aquatic metagenomics, environmental transcriptomics, ecotoxicology, bioinformatics, circular economy, sustainable resource management and Lean Startup.

Diagnose environmental problems, select biological and omics approaches, design and monitor treatment or valorisation processes, interpret data, assess impacts and lead innovative projects.

Water, soil, waste, remediation, biomonitoring, circular economy, bioresources, industry and environmental consultancy.

Organisation and practice

Five semesters of scientific, technological and entrepreneurship teaching, followed by a sixth semester devoted to the graduation project.

Placements and practical experience in laboratories, public bodies or companies under the programme arrangements.

Final-year project

An applied sixth-semester project combining seminars, an internship and independent work.
